Roofing accreditations

Trusted Accreditations

Checking if a company has trusted accreditations is the first step we recommended to you in the ‘How To Choose The Best Roofer’ checklist we created (https://taylorroofs.co.uk/how-to-choose-the-best-roofer/). By choosing a company that has trusted accreditations, you can rest assured that they are legitimate, trustworthy and have undergone a thorough vetting process. Meeting the trading standards also ensures companies adhere to the Code of Practice for their particular industry.

Another benefit of choosing a company that is listed in a well-established accreditation body is that you can see their reviews and compare them to other local suppliers. A trusted accreditation body can also in some instances, intervene in disputes when required.

Here is the list of the most trusted accreditations and trade bodies in the central belt, all of which Taylor Roofs are proud to be members of:

1. Edinburgh Trusted Trader: This scheme is backed and supported by Police Scotland and Citizens Advice. As a member we have been highly vetted by Trading Standard to qualify. We have a substantial profile on the Edinburgh trusted trader website with a 4.9-star average rating based on 19 reviews that our previous customers have left. Here is an example of one of our customer reviews on the site:

5 star customer review on Trusted Trader

After having numerous leaks despite having my roof redone last year I contacted Taylor Roofing. They were extremely professional, courteous & prompt. They took photos of my roof to show where the problems were & explained clearly how they would fix it. Throughout the work on my roof the communication was first class & I was always kept up to speed on what had been accomplished each day & what they hoped to achieve the next day.

2. West Lothian Trusted Trader: this scheme was launched by West Lothian council to assist local consumers with finding reliable local traders. Members must comply with the scheme and show that they trade in a fair and responsible manner. These membership regulations will help you gain confidence in the trader’s services. 140 customers rated us on the site which gave us a 9.5 out of 10 average satisfaction score and we are proud to be the highest rated roofer on the site.

3. The National Federation of Roofing Contractors: NFRC is the UK’s largest roofing trade association. All members of the NFRC offer high standards of workmanship and sound business practice through a strict code of practice and vetting procedure.

The NFRC offers a very useful step-by-step guide for choosing a roofing contractor from their list of traders.

In addition, NFRC offers free technical advice to customers of NFRC member contractors. They supplement this service with a comprehensive series of technical publications to support both member contractors and their customers.

4. Federation of Master Builders: To be a part of this master builders federation, a trader must meet strict criteria and must pass an independent inspection process. Taylor Roofs is a member of the FMB and goes through inspections every 3 years to reassure clients and help gain your ongoing trust.

Just like other accreditation bodies, should something go wrong, the FMB offers a disputes service which may able to refer you to independent mediator to help you to resolve the matter.

We want to ensure that our customers are always satisfied with the work we carry out, so we provide you with a 100% guarantee. You can see our trusted trader reviews here: https://www.trustedtrader.scot/Edinburgh/Taylor-Roofs-0000265.html
